The main objective of the article is to elucidate the relationship between the terms imagination, reflexivity of imagination and intercultural competence with the view to emphasize its probable inherent potential on the one hand, and its meaning for the field intercultural business cooperation on the other hand. It is attempted to capture the complexity of the ability of reflexivity of imagination by describing its impact on interculturally relevant aspects touching upon the four different principles of relationality, correspondence, complementarity and reciprocity. Reflexivity of imagination plays an important role when it comes to the development of cultural identity or “identification” (Appadurai 1997), as well as to the enhancement of cooperation in intercultural and virtual business environments.
