Newly described in the Ser. Acantholimon were A. graecum F. K. MEYER from Greece and A. trojanum F. K. MEYER from Troas. A. Olympicum (BOISS.) F. K. MEYER from the Bithynian Olympus has been given species rank. A. albanicum O. SCHWARZ et F. K. MEYER from SE-Albania and A. muradicum O. SCHWARZ et F. K. MEYER from the Murad-dagh were newly described as close relatives of A. glumaceum (JAUB. et SPACH) BOISS. New species in the Ser. Caryophyllacea BUNGE are A. aegaeum F. K. MEYER and A. diversifolium O. SCHWARZ et F. K. MEYER. For better distinction in the nearer relationship of A. androsaceum (JAUB. et SPACH) BOISS. one-acute (single-pointed) united prophylls with adaxial median („adossierter“) position were found, whereas the relationship of A. albanicum O. SCHWARZ et F. K. MEYER, A. graecum F. K. MEYER etc. is characterized by two-pointed united prophylls with adaxial median („adossierter“) position. In Ser. Caryophyllacea BUNGE two normally separated transversal prophylls are to be found.

In der Ser. Caryophyllacea BUNGE treten zwei normal voneinander getrennte transversale Vorblätter auf.
