Digitale Langzeitarchivierung ist nicht nur Gegenstand zahlreicher nationaler Initiativen, sondern auch Thema internationaler Institutionen und Projekte. In diesem Beitrag werden die relevanten Aktivitäten von 13 welt- bzw. europaweit tätigen Organisationen des Bildungs- und Informationswesens insgesamt sowie des Bibliothekswesens im Speziellen untersucht und referiert. Diese bewegen sich allerdings - zum Teil auch mehrgleisig - bislang überwiegend im grundlegenden bzw. konzeptionellen Bereich, wogegen praktische Lösungen und Implementierungen noch selten sind und wohl erst für die Zukunft erwartet werden dürfen.

Long-term digital archiving is not only the concern of numerous national organizations, but also the topic of international institutions and projects. This article takes a survey and comments on the relevant activities of thirteen international and european organizations which are involved with education and information as a whole or librarianship in particular. These have dealt till now, however, primarily - sometimes multi-tracked - with fundamental or theoretical questions; the implementation of practical solutions has been rare and may well be left for the future.
