The post-graduate programme Global Financial Markets is a joint project of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (Prof. Dr. Christoph Ohler, L.L.M) and the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg (Prof. Dr. Christian Tietje, LL.M.).The post-graduate programme focuses on the fundamental principles of globalized financial markets. Against the background of the financial crisis of 2008/2009, the programme is dedicated to interdisciplinary research from a legal and economic perspective. It aims to contribute to the scientific discourse of how international financial markets and their supervision should work in the future, in particular how the stability of the financial system can be accomplished. The programme is financed for five years by the foundation “Geld und Währung” and offers 20 doctoral fellowships. Das Graduiertenkolleg „Konstitutionelle Grundlage globalisierter Finanzmärkte – Stabilität und Wandel“ (Global Financial Markets) ist ein für fünf Jahre von der Stiftung „Geld und Währung“ gefördertes Gemeinschaftsprojekt der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena (Prof. Dr. Christoph Ohler, LL.M.) und der Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg (Prof. Dr. Christian Tietje, LL.M.). Vor der Hintergrund der Finanzkrise von 2008/2009 widmet sich das Graduiertenkolleg einem zentralen, interdisziplinären Forschungsgegenstand aus juristischer und ökonomischer Sicht: der Stabilität des Finanzsystems und den damit verbundenen Regulierungsfragen.
